جاءت موافقة اللجنة خلال اجتماعاتها بنيويورك يوم 22 آيار / مايو 2018 ، وذلك ضمن اعمال الدورة التاسعة عشر للجنة ، حيث أصدرت اللجنة توصيتها بإجماع أعضائها البالغ عددهم 19 عضوا يمثلون المجموعات الإقليمية المختلفة في العالم .
تعد موافقة اللجنة على منح شركاء من اجل الشفافية المركز الاستشاري بالمجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي للأمم المتحدة ، شهادة لصالح المؤسسة ، وتقدير لجهودها التي تبذلها منذ تأسيسها في نهاية عام 2014 حتى الآن في خدمة قضايا النزاهة والشفافبة والمساءلة ومكافحة الفساد واحترام حقوق الإنسان ودعم التنمية المستدامة .
الجدير بالذكر أن حصول مؤسسة شركاء من أجل الشفافية على الصفة الاستشارية سيمكنها من المشاركة بفاعلية في أنشطة واجتماعات الآليات والهيئات الأممية المختلفة ، وذلك من خلال تقديم التقارير ، والمداخلات الشفوية والمكتوبة ، وتنظيم فعاليات موازية خلال الدورات الرسمية لاجتماعات هيئات الأمم المتحدة ، وهو ما سيساهم في توسيع قاعدة اهتمامات المؤسسة بما يخدم ويعزز ممارسات الشفافية والنزاهة ونبذ الفساد .
كانت “شركاء من اجل الشفافية ” قد تأسست وفقا لاحكام القانون المصري في ديسمبر 2014، وهي تراعي الاستقلال والحياد ” سياسيا ” و” أيديولوجيا ” ، وتعمل في إطار مساعدة المجتمع على ترسيخ وتطبيق قيم وممارسات النزاهة ، الشفافية ، والمساءلة ، وصولا لتحقيق التنمية ” الإنسانية ” الشاملة واحترام حقوق الإنسان ، وتشييد منظومة الحكم الصالح .
The NGO Committee of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) approved granting Partners For Transparency Foundation the consultative status with the Council as a preface for the decision of the UN Economic and Social Council during its next session.
The Committee’s approval was during its meetings in New York on 22 May 2018 and came within the framework of the Nineteenth Session of the Committee. The Committee endorsed its recommendation by the consensus of its 19 members representing various regional groups in the world.
The Committee’s approval to grant the consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) is verification to the Foundation and an appreciation of its efforts since its establishment since the end of 2014 till now in the areas of integrity, transparency, accountability, fighting corruption, respect of human rights ,and support for sustainable development.
It is worth mentioning that the consultative status given to Partners For Transparency will enable it to participate actively in the activities and meetings of the various UN mechanisms and bodies through the submission of reports, oral and written interventions, and side events during the official sessions of United Nations bodies which will expand the Foundation’s interest in serving and promoting practices of transparency ,integrity ,and corruption elimination .
“Partners For Transparency” was established in accordance with the provisions of Egyptian law in December 2014. It respects independence and neutrality “politically” and “ideologically” and works within the framework of helping the community to establish and implement values and practices of integrity, transparency and accountability in order to reach “Comprehensive” development ,respect for human rights, and establishment of good governance.
